I have the latest patch - 1.26.8 - and only have base game. Everything works fine until you put CC in. Any CC. Anything. I really really really need some help with this.

Hello, I have downloaded Sims that I want to put in to my game, but I can't find them in the Sim Bar that appears when you go to Edit Town. They are .sim files, they have CC, but I have all the CC that went into creating their bodies. The .sim files are in my SavedSims folder. I've been trying and trying to find skintones like Genensim's for Sims 3, for ages. Little furry skin textures with a nose pad (both genders) has anyone made such a thing, yet? or perhaps a furred overlay or anything of that nature?
